Yiota Georgas

About the Artist

Yiota Georgas was born in Chicago in 1977. In 1996 she began her studies in Interior Design at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece. In 1996 she relocated to Chicago to continue her studies in Studio Arts at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her BFA with honors studying under Phyllis Bramson and Kerry James Marshall. The following years she attended the Athens School of Fine Arts studying Art Education. She currently resides in Sammamish, WA and works as an active artist and art instructor.
